Our most popular excursion, the Dolphin Tour / Nature Cruise is a great way to see our local waterways and creatures such as Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin, birdlife, and more. This dolphin eco tour is led by an educated interpretive naturalist and US Coast Guard licensed captain. You will have the most comfortable view of the lowcountry wildlife and nature aboard the island's premier cruising vessels.You'll be pleased to know that dolphin watching and a focus on nature are a part of just about every Live Oac adventure experience. Due to our prime location on Hilton Head Island's Skull Creek, we have a level of dolphin activity and year round local dolphin population that is unparalleled.
"Do you guarantee dolphin?" is a common question we are asked. As experienced nature guides we know that there is nothing guaranteed in nature... but we are so confident that we will see dolphin that we'll offer you a free tour if we don't.
We offer our Dolphin Tour Nature Cruise in both 1 and 2 hour lengths.
Due to the tremendous local dolphin population in the area of Pinckney Island Wildlife Refuge, we expect to see them on every trip!
The 2 hour Dolphin Tour is the most popular, because we are able to circumnavigate the largest island in the Wildlife Refuge, minimizing backtracking. Therefore we tend to see 3-4 times more area on the 2 hour trip than we do on the 1 hour.
